Katy Taste Fest, on hiatus for two years, is back to show off the diversity of Katy’s food community. The festival will take place March 26 at Typhoon Texas, 555 Katy Fort Bend Road, Katy, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
According to a press release, Katy Taste Fest features sample dishes from more than 20 local restaurants. A silent auction, cooking demonstrations, shows and a range of family activities await participants of all ages. The Katy Taste Fest supports several local charities working to help vulnerable children and reduce waste.
General admission tickets start at $50 and VIP tickets at $85.
“We are thrilled to finally bring Katy Taste Fest back to the community. It had been two long years since we had been able to celebrate the flavors of Katy together. Our new partner, Typhoon Texas, is an incredible space to host the event, and it will help us continue to grow KTF year after year,” said KTF Event President Cyril Thomas in the press release. “The only thing Katy loves more than food is giving back to the community. We’ve given over $80,000 to charities since 2017, and we look forward to continuing with the money we raise from of KTF this year.
Participating restaurants, according to the press release, include The Toasted Yolk Cafe; whiskey cake; Beer, Biryani and Kabab; Argentinian ice cream; Pablo’s Mexican cuisine; Kokai; Mala Sichuan Bistro; BBQ cart; Pablo’s restaurant and club; and more to be announced.
